I am a Licensed Medical Aesthetician, Master Laser Technician of more than 18 years and an RN.  I received my B.A. at Central Michigan University with a focus on Health and Recreational Therapy and I am also a graduate from the Nursing Program at Schoolcraft Collage with Honors and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I recieved my Michigan Aesthetics license in 2010 and was trained extensively in Florida (Board of Electrology) for laser hair removal in 2006, due to the fact that Michigan does not have clear licensure or formal certification training for Laser Hair Removal.  I have received countless certifications in laser, health and skincare modalities.  I have worked alongside MD’s, plastics, chiropractors and nutritionists for most of my life.  Beauty Haven is also a licensed Cosmetology Establishment and Body Arts Facility which means that I have the privilege of offering training to other up and coming aestheticians.

I am an active mom of four and I’ve always loved learning about health, the integrity of the body and skin- it’s my passion!  When you are healthy on the inside, it shows on the outside.  I actively practice what I teach and I love guiding and educating people about their health and skin, it’s truly rewarding!  I love getting to know my clients, as so many have become long-time friends.  It’s an incredible experience to be able to offer skincare and specialized treatments that heal, repair and help the body and skin achieve long term goals. Every product and specialized treatment offered has been thoroughly vetted, researched and tested for the best, most beneficial, health-based results.

Educating your client is key to their outcome of achieving their health and skincare goals.  Nothing is a quick fix- it takes time and commitment and making better choices for your health and skin.  In a world where everyone wants what they want in an instant, with outcomes that are immediate, but not successful long term, Beauty Haven takes great joy in offering treatments, skincare and products that offer long term results in real time at a realistic pace.  I love that we provide outcomes and education that make our clients happy, glowing and healthy with amazing dramatic results - inside and out.

APPRENTICE

I'm an 18 year old high school graduate, from Sylvan Lake Michigan and soon to be a licenced Aesthetician. Beauty has always been something important to me, a feeling and presence I've always tried to strongly embody. People view beauty in different ways, some might say beauty is how appealing you look to others or how you rank on a scale. But to me, beauty is how you hold yourself, how you speak and most importantly how you take care of yourself.  My goal as an Aesthetician in the beauty industry is to help people feel confident in themselves. I strongly believe when you feel beautiful outside you are a more beautiful person on the inside.  I want to help people feel like the best version of themselves. Confidence is one of the most important attributes a person can have. Confidence can make or break someone’s first impression, professionalism, and how they carry themselves. Helping people become their most beautiful and confident self is one of my biggest goals. I want to help people discover the beauty we all have deep down. A healthy lifestyle and putting care into yourself has always been something that has inspired me. I grew up around my beautiful mother and her best friend, they both have spent 12+ years of my life putting their all into the health and beauty industry and something about that has always inspired me.  I can remember being 10 years old so fascinated with what they do.  Begging for a skincare routine. Then at 11, I found myself spending hours researching different products and ingredients caring so much about what I put in and on my body. And truthfully my love for health and wellness has never faded, and has only grown. I knew at the beginning of my junior year of high school, when everyone else was trying to figure out their path in life, I knew without a doubt what I wanted to do - Aesthetics! To this day the beauty industry is something I'm fascinated with, and cannot wait to be a part of it all, learning, growing and helping others..
